Ten years, No, when I'm with her, she's not here with me.

More than that, No, when I need people to understand me, she doesn't.

 

What should I say? Must be some problems with me...

It's been one month since school started. Pretty much busy everyday!!

Well, I'm 21 now, which means I can drink here legally. So i went to a bar at Huntington Beach that Friday of my birthday week, and had a couple drinks. And I got some really nice birthday gifts, I love them very much! So thank you Tina, Dylan, Leo, and Sok! It's really nice to have you guys as my friends. And also to those friends in China who remembered my birthday, I really appreciate that!!

I just finished my first mid-terms last night. I've 2 mid-terms for my both economics classes on Monday, and I have my Business Law mid-term last nigth. I don't really have a lot of time to study, because I went to Teamwork Retreat last weekend, that was really fun though. I had really good time there, and I got some new friends there. That's really nice.

Anyways, I put some pictures that I took last weekend here. Yep! Enjoy!

   Have been back from China to the U.S. for 2 weeks. And school starts for like two weeks. For this semester, pretty busy. Though I just have 4 classes, these 4 are not easy: Managerial Economics, Economics Money and Banking, Business Law, and Management Information System.

   I got a new job at the languages lab for tutoring Chinese, so not a shelver in the library selling labor anymore, and of course get paid more. Started work there this week, and found out a lot of people are learning chinese now! Good. And this one girl Christina, who went to china with me this summer, is taking chinese class too. She's good.

   And for the summer, some good experience, and of course some bad too. First the bed thing was that I felt I was being played! Other than that, everything was cool, like taking 32 people from America to China, and being friends with them, esp. Tina, Laline Andrea and Ryan!! And I did my internship at CITI Bank (China), Chengdu Branch. Good experience!! And then after that, just hang out with friends and families!! Oh, I went to Korea for one day, and had a one day tour, that was cool too.

   Anyways, i put some pictures there, so yea. That was my summer.

Didn't update for long long time. Just because I was really really busy with school, I've to read like 10 books this semester, and just finish 3 books. 6 classes, kinda tough, but I'm trying really hard.

Spring break, trying to relax, so come down here to San Diego where has the best weather in the world.

Two simple reasons make me come down to SD. One is go hiking in the mountain, the other one is go to the beach here. On the west coast, the is better when you go norther, I think.

Today, hiking for over 2 hours in the mountain near sea. Really nice view up there!! I love it!! Very much!! I swear the god that I'll come back again. Then over an hour walking on the beack, just want to go to Black's Beach which perhaps the largest nude beach in the US. Funny, "de facto clothing optional beach". It's really good place for some girls, but, honestly, I was a kind of disappointed, there are not a lot of young girls. Just 4, but they pretty good looking, so not that disappointed. After that, I went to Mission Beach, which is one of most famous beach in SD. Tons of people there, so... you know, nice place, of course, nice chi....

Anyway, really tired after that over 4 hours walk, but that was nice. Good expirence, Good exercise. The good thing is that in my uncle's appartment, they have free nice spa. Enjoying!!

Tomorrow, I will go back home, study... Big paper due when I go back school, and I have to read a book during break. Sucks!!

It seems like I didn't update this blog for a long time. So I'm sorry about that. As you can see, I'm really busy.

I just went to YMCA Camp Arbolado, in Angelus Oaks, last weekend. That was an awesome trip!!

It's 24th Annual Leadership Retreat teamwork hold by school. So that was all about teamwork, cross-culture activities, and leadership... I don't say more about that, that was just fantastic!! Meeting new people, making new friends...

I met some people who went to there too today, and they said they want to go again.

One more thing is that last Friday is Mid-autum Day, so happy Mid-Autum Day. I know that's a little bit late, but I still want to say. I was not be able to be with my family, but I was with those cool new friends. I was not be able to get mooncake, but i ate smors( I think it spells like that, I don't know), which is one of typical camping food when there's campfire.

Now, I have to finish the work that I should do last weekend, and work, go to class... Back to the busy day!!

The school has been started for three weeks, and the only thing that I feel most is tired.

Tired with all the homework that I have to do before due time. Some of homework is online, which I will usually forget to do, and there is no way to make that up. Macroeconomics, Physical Science & Laboratory, Accounting...

For teachers that I have this semester, Macro econ's a Japanese guy who has a horroble handwriting. The worse thing is that he likes writing tons of thing every class. Hope that I will feel better after few weeks. My Physical Science Laboratory teacher is Indian. His strong Indian accent makes almost every students in his class can't understand what he's talking about... Gosh!!

Just get an on-campus job in library shelfing department. Maybe I will start working next month.

Back to the US, and I find that I really miss my home and my families and of course my friends. Thank god that you gave my wonerful family, thank you that you gave those nice friends.

 

Now I'm in my new house in America. I just moved in yesterday when I got off the plane. Here is really a nice place, and the owner is perfect. He used to be a professor of my school, and all his family menbers are graduated from the best schools.

上周拿到到Magic Mountain的半价票， 于是乎和室友开了一个多小时的车， 跑到那个地方去耍。 Magic Mountain是这儿SixFlags开的一个游乐园， 里面全是超耍的过山车。 说老实话， 当时在路上心头都多紧张的， 我从来都怕坐那种从多高的地方冲下来的那种了， 那儿又是以那种东西出名。当时还是浑了， 怕毛， 耍了在说。 到了那儿， 还在停车场就听到一阵一阵的尖叫。 美国的过山车就是不一样， 确实爽， 同志们看照片嘛。 那天还差点把眼镜甩掉， 但是耍完感觉一个字：爽！ 下次有机会还来！

这段时间确实是， 从春假放完了就没有休息好。 本来由于天气原因， 人天天都觉得好疲哦， 在加上要期末了， 各科的最后一次考试也来了。 说起还是快， 真的一学期又要完了。 意为着要快回国了！！

 

这段时间不晓得咋的， 没事就像在家睡觉， 休息一下。 主要是平时上完课下来做作业不说了嘛， 还要在网上天天做reaserch, 啥子演讲， 演戏的东西都要到网上去查资料。 所以天天有好多时候都是对着电脑， 看那些字母看得眼睛都冒花了。所以弄完这些东西不是想睡觉就是出去活动一下。

 

前两个星期终于又开始打网球了， 都好久没有碰过拍子了。 第一打了下来手都是酸的， 但是后头就好多了。 现在终于还是找到感觉了， 而且单反还是练的可以了。

 

最近听在国外的同学都天天都在想回家， 妹妹， OP，奶牛， 农民......天天就像算到一样。 有时真的是越想越难受， 弄得上课都有点影响了。 真的是这个夏天回来不晓得要耍成啥子样子。 我5月24号(美国西部时间)从这边起飞， 到北京。到了之后要在北京待到6月初的样子， 然后回成都！

昨天是我室友Billy 36岁的生日， 就和他们一家人到 美国前总统Richard M Nixon 的出生地去耍了一下午。确实不错，作为第一个到中国来的美国总统， 那个博物馆有好多关于中国的东西哦， 还有各种Nixon的政绩。 这儿是其中的照片。

 

顺便想说下， Billy的妈妈真的是， 太nice了， 对我们只好， 上次在Thanks Giving的时候就对我们只好， 还让我作她的儿子， 哈哈。

 

这周， 简直不在状态。 不晓得咋的， 就像生病一样， 全身疲软。 我觉得有像是春困， 陈冬阳还是说她这周成留学垃圾了。 都是陈莉班上出来的， 就是有春困习惯可能。 白天全身疲软， 但是到了晚上， 身体倒是来不起了， 但是头脑还是清晰， 睡不着。 于是乎， 白天有空就跑步， 锻炼身体。 那天就跑了4 miles一共， 到海滩边上去 Tanning。 这样至少晚上睡觉好点了， 顺便减下肥，哈哈。 哎， 庆幸的是， 我在坚持一周就放一周的春假了， 到时放松一下， 应该可以和我舅到San Diego去耍一次。希望放松过后可以找回点学习的感觉， 然后坚持4周， 就回"祖国"了！

同学们， 确实不好意思， 都一个月没有更新了。 其实还是不能怪我懒， 两大原因:

1。电脑烂了， 弄到上个周末才修好。 都不晓得我咋用起得， 居然不hard drive用烂了。 幸好在保修期哦， 免费换了个新的hard drive。 但是以前的照片， 音乐， 写的作业全部掉了， 给老子起安逸了的。 到美国半年， 还是耍了不少地方， 照了1个多G的照片； 收集了20G的歌。。。还有些同学传的照片， 就在屏幕显示: You have to replace your hard disk drive. 的一瞬间......拿去修时还是喊他们帮我尽量保留文档， 但是还是很不幸， 哎！ 上个星期五厂方给我打电话说电脑修好了， 只激动哦， 星期六就去取了。 回来忙到把东西装好。 终于有电脑了！！ 在这儿没电脑收你命，作业好多都是网上交， 或者要打印出来的， 没的电脑只有到学校的computer lab去排队用电脑， 好像还收了钱的。现在修好了就对了。

2。这段时间忙于各个课的考试。 星期一把我最讨厌那么课University 100那么课的期末考试考了， 终于解脱了。 那么课就是学些啥子学校历史啊， 美国和西方大学历史， 还有啥子大学教育的目的和宗旨，这类东西。说没用喃， 还是有点用就是了， 但是没有必要作为必修课三， 还是在freshman year 读完， 没过还不能注册下一年。在这门课上还学到了美国教育的精髓: Academic freedom. 就是你上课随时可以说你想说的， 但是和上课有关的东西。 老师还是可以随便说他教科目的东西。 还从这节课得到提高的就是阅读。每周好多东西要读哦， 然后是写reaction sheet， 太讨厌那个了。 刚开始的时候， 没给我整发吐哦， 读得哦！！星期三又交两张papers, 一个是Theatre Arts 的， 喊写Intial event, Center event, and Main event. 这些老师上课念给我们， 还是边念喊我们边记， 简直不考虑我们国际学生语言问题。幸好边看旁边同学的笔记，边听老师把笔记重要的都记下来了。 那个paper 是喊你读个像个短剧本一样， 然后喊你写那些东西。 读那个剧本的时候是把我弄巴适了的， 他对剧场描写那些词， 简直是， 一片一片认不到。 查完词典下来， 发现用词确实用得好， 写得确实好。想下我写的作文， 用词太差恶了， 需要在这方面努力哦。今天星期五， 早上考了两门， 弄死人了。 考试完了， 突然脑壳头冒出来的是:"一天最多只能考两门"。 那儿年高中考试， 牟蛇的话。总算还好考完了， 今天下午就可以休息下。

明天又要开始投入战斗了， 因为星期一又有speech了， 还好是minor speech. 到时好生整了。 再下周又是个Major speech， 连到几个speech完了终于是spring break 了。 原来还想的是spring break 好生耍下， 但是那天看了syllabus, 耍不得哦， 假完了就是几个考试， 几个speeches， 完了就是期末了， 再完了就是回中国了。 这儿时间还是过得快。 简直不敢像语言学校那个样子放松了。说到speech, 在这儿感谢班长同志， 还有位在学习法律的would-be lawer， 给我很多信息。 谢谢！！

 

昨天在网上和喝麻了， 小平儿还有OP摆龙门阵时说到回国时大家到OP 家去， 到时自己做饭， 每人做一个自己拿手的菜。 哈哈， 有点安逸！还是多期待的。

 

不好意思, 很久没有更新了. 从外面耍了回来就忙个没有完, 主要是办学校的各种事情. 在办这些事的过城中真的是体会到了美国人还是办事效率低, 而且真的发觉他们有点恼火. 在我打电话到国际留学生办公室的时候, 每次不同的人接电话都会给你不同的答复. 一会儿给你说传真可以, 传过去结果又不行, 必须要原件, 是人都要气死. 当时我又没有在LONG BEACH三, 都要急死了. 等我回LONG BEACH的时候, 到学校去办这个是, 问他们收到没有, 他们说还没有, 我说不得噢, 我之前打电话的时候你们有两个人另外部门的人说你们应该收到了. 结果是信还在ON CAMPUS MAILBOX里头!! 总结出来的是: 这儿的人必须催到来, 真的是赖哈麻!!

 

这些事情弄完了就开始上课, 这学期没有选太多课, 但是这些课都不是太好修, 都是对英语有特别高的要求. Calculus for Buiness, Theatre Ats, Public speaking, University 100, and English writing with reading. 其中那个PUBLIC SPEACKING好烫噢, 每次都喊上台说, 而且那个班真的亚洲人可能加我就两个. 真的太考我口语. 另外那个THEATRE的课, 咋说喃, 好耍是好耍, 但是要想成绩好的话还是没有那么简单就是了, 毕竟像我们这些, 班上唯一一个外国人, 还要喊上台演出. 说到这个THEATRE的课, 当年斯皮尔博格就是从我们学校毕业的, 他就是学这个还有一个电影制造的. 哈哈, 有点爽.

 

这学期的生活不轻松啊, 希望能拿高点GPA, 到时好处多多.

 

在这段时间还在网上碰见好多好久都没有的朋友, 感觉真的好爽噢, 特别是那些也出国的同学, 给他们打电话时感觉好爽噢. 而且听到我们班同学会的事情, 真的是... 好想能参见噢. 虽然班长说等夏天回来还有机会, 但是觉得错过第一次还是多可惜的.

 

好了, 就这些吧. 希望同学们在狗年还是狗年走好运哈. 说实话, 我今年从元旦开始总的来说运气都多好的, 好朋友大家分享!!

 

P.S: My laptop was broken!! Damn it! I have to send it back to the company to fix it. Fortunately, it's under the warranty, so I don't have to pay that shit. It will take probably a month, so I may not update my space. Shoot!!

同学们圣诞节快乐哈. 这段时间确实有点"忙" 哈, 到处耍. 这些地方又怪, 上网要收费, 还是$12一天, 那个确实太贵了哈. 所以上网有问题, 但是想到今天是平安夜(这儿的时间哈) 在中国又是圣诞节, 还是该来给同学们说声:" 圣诞快乐!"

这两天去了好多好耍的地方, 过几天在来更新哈.

这两天耍的倒是安逸, 但是有些事让我极度不爽... !!! 简直是越想越气!!!

上周五把这学期的课结束了. 这周真的是感觉轻松了许多. 这段时间的主要活动就是看电影和锻炼身体, 感觉还是多不错的. 在这儿给大家说下最近看的几部电影. 一部是叫War of the World, 这个是Tom Cruise主演, 讲的是外星人来到地球, 到处杀人, 破坏. 军队对他们没有任何威胁... 然后就是Tom和他的儿子, 女儿到处躲. 最后就是外星人因为地球环境的原因死了. 说实话, 我觉得这个电影不咋个就是了, 虽说还是斯皮尔博格, 这位学长导的.

另外两部, 真的是太爽了, 大家没看过的话真的值得一看就是了.

The 40-year-old virgin. 这个电影简直是...... 有些话不好在公共地方说就是了, 大家没看过的话一定要看. 而且建议大家看英文版的, 最后是字幕都是英文, 你可以学到很多这儿美国的..... 强烈推荐.

昨天晚上去看King Kong, 最近的新片子. 这个片子咋说喃, 开始有点无趣就是了, 但是从猩猩出来之后, 简直是... 不是感人就是精彩. 还有, 在看电影时, 猩猩为了保护美女, 和三条恐龙打. 打完了之后准备走, 在它转过身的时候, 我后面不晓得哪个, 冒了句:"Look at my ass!" 简直是, 在那个时候弄得全场的人都在笑. 到后天那个猩猩被带到New York去了, 在那儿, 他为了那个女的,到处跑, 最后被军队的人杀了. 这儿还是多感人的就是了.

不好意思, 写完了看下... 写的啥子噢, 啥子都没说清楚. 但是, 建议大家去看后The 40-year-old virgin和King Kong.

对了, 另外还有个叫Aeon Fluk, 还是可以就是了.

我看我再不更新的话就... 确实不好意思各位, 最近有点"忙"哈. 好先来完成小平儿同志的作业.

优点:

1.   城市环境好. 在这儿真的, 空气感觉都好像要好点. 但是可能是因为临海的原因吧.

2.  阳光灿烂. 加州的阳光还是出来名的哈, 特别是南加州, 加上地中海气候的影响, 这儿的气候对我这种 喜欢太阳的人来说简直是太爽了. 到现在都还是阳光明媚的. 虽然临海, 但是这儿并不潮湿, 海风加从内陆沙漠过来的风, 这的不像成都, 光照又少, 还潮湿.

3. 人的素质高. 在这儿的人真的素质要比国人高些. 就从我们就说嘛, 我自行车房子外的阳台上没有锁(进门就是阳台哈, 那个们关不到), 这样都不会被偷. 这儿好多都是House, 好多好看的东西就放在外面, 没有人偷, 在成都的话, 连好看的花都要被偷. 而且还是小孩去摘, 真的是教育要从娃娃抓起啊.

4. 城市建设好. 美国真的是先进, 好多东西都弄得很人性化, 虽然有些给人感觉有点蠢, 那么简单的东西都要弄, 但是政府还是从市民的角度去考虑的.

5. 人人平等. 在这儿真的是, 老年人和残疾人的待遇简直差太多了. 中国如果你一只手还想开车, no way, but here, they have special parking lots, driving licence给他们. 坐轮椅的人还可以坐公车, 车子降低, 让后一个板子伸出来, 让残疾人上车, 车上还有固定轮椅的东西.

不足: (个人观点哈)

1. 真的是老外太自信了. 说自己smart, 滕都不得打.

2. 快餐店太多. 这就是美国胖子形成的原因之一.

3. 东西太甜. 美国胖子身体的一部分.

4. 真的是政府太难. 阿诺没做什么错事, 就是有人不满意, 为了个人利益, 就出来到处说. 喊人下课!

5. 东西太贵. 这条就是对我来说哈. 体会到吃菜当吃肉的感觉了.

今天在家自己弄得火锅! 哎, 现在想起都还在流口水. 好怀念在到这儿之前的那个星期, 几乎天天晚上都是火锅, 和我的朋友们. 到了这儿不仅不能出去吃火锅, 而且不能和那些朋友在一起了. 怀念啊, 还怀念和我的家人一起吃的那顿火锅.

虽然自己弄的肯定还是没有在成都的好吃, 但是还是很满足了. 自己出去买菜( 哎, 这儿没有豆腐皮, 窝笋之类的东西, 简直...), 然后熬烫料, 腌肉在煮. 有点麻烦, 但是吃到的时候就觉得还是值得了!!过节日的时候还要弄.

说了那么多吃, 还是说 下我最近的学习情况. 这两天忙得很, quiz, presentation一个接一个的来. 有个presentation还是到附近的小学去讲课. 这次是讲的中国地理. 这对一个理科生来说还是有点困难, 而且还是拿英语说. 幸好以前的地理还是可以噢, 要不就完了. 那天下午就在那儿讲了一个多小时, 口水都说干了. 为了吸引小朋友的注意力, 我的一个朋友还去买了60多块的糖果. 最气的事当我们问他们中国的首都或问他们中国最大的城市是哪个时, 居然只有极少数的答对!!! 美国的教育...白痴美国. 下周还要去那儿, 但是topic不一样. 去过的人都不想在去再去, 那些小孩简直是太烦了. Too boring!!

最近忙过了就会好些了, 但是现在还是要咬紧牙, 渡过这段时间!! 板命 

不好意思. 很久没有更新了. 主要是最近确实有点忙. 月初在准备我的半期考试,这个在期末在的比重有点大, 所以不敢放松. 好的是努力没有白费, 只有一科是因为老师算分得时候算掉了得了B, 其他都是A. 这儿这儿真的和中国很不一样, 半期考试是你平时的quizes还有课内外写的作文,阅读加上你的几种作业完成情况,上课出席情况. 这样弄就像每天都在考试一样, 累死人了.考完试了我现在又在忙托福的事, 每天都在读书, 练习阅读和增加词汇量. 每天都满满的事.

在这边的同学都很忙, 真的是教育体制的不一样. 在来之前都还以为这儿要轻松些, 但是到了才发现啥子都喃. 但是也有可能是我们现在语言的问题. 这儿的东西很多还是多简单的, 多是我们学过的东西, 但是用英语的话就恼火了. 每次考试不是在考知识而是英语!

上个周末和我Billy去了Los Angeles. 他要去办事, 我就跟着他到那儿逛了一下. 没有去什么地方, 时间不够. 下次有空要专门去耍. 从我这儿到那儿还是很简单, 1块钱的火车票半小时就可以到.

这个周末是Halloween. 第一次过这个节, 还是多期待的. 到时候好生耍!
